Dahlia is a suspense film noir directed by William Hawks. The film takes place in a 1950s historic mansion, the home of botanist Dr. Harlow and his wife who has mysteriously vanished. David Adler a war veteran and now detective is assigned to uncover the mystery and narrows in on his primary subject Dr. Harlow. In an unexpected evening visit to Harlow’s eerie home Detective Adler begins to question his subject when a storm shuts off the power. That’s when the search in the winding corridors leads him to her whereabouts.
